The Palm Beach Central Broncos got by the Carol City Chiefs 34-28 on Thursday night at Broncos Stadium. Both high schools had never played in a football game against each other.
Palm Beach Central(9-1) extended their winning streak up to six games. The Broncos, who beat the Wellington Wolverines in the Class 4M District 10 title game last week, have outscored their opponents 410-144 this season. They will host a first-game postseason game in the FHSAA Class 4M Playoffs next week.
Carol City(5-5) lost their second straight contest. It is uncertain if the Chiefs will qualify for the postseason in Class 2M. They have been outscored 240-178 in 2022.
