Washington(10-9) ripped out to a 38-28 lead in the first quarter and remained in front 59-56 at halftime. Both teams were tied 85-85 at the end of the third quarter. Miami(9-11) went on a 19-11 run during the final seven minutes of the contest.
Bam Adebayo had game-highs with 38 points and 12 rebounds for the Heat. Tyler Herro also had a double-double of 11 points and 10 assists. Caleb Martin added 20 points and Kyle Lowry contributed 13 points. Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma both scored 28 points each for the Wizards.
