Coyotes Cover Panthers

The Arizona Coyotes surprised the Florida Panthers 3-1 at Mullett Arena on Tuesday night. It was the first time that the Panthers played at the new venue.
The Cats opened up a four-game road trip on the west coast. The Coyotes won their first home game at their new arena after three tries.
After a scoreless first period, Florida(5-4-1) got a 1-0 lead at 8:24 mark of the second. Sam Bennett cycled the puck from the left wing. Josh Mahura took a shot from the left point and Colin White put in his third goal this year on a deflection from the low slot.
Arizona(3-5-1) tied in up 1-1 on the power play with 6:13 remaining in the period. Former Panthers player Lawson Crouse snapped a shot from the slot area by Spencer Knight for his fourth goal of the campaign.
In the third period, the Coyotes scored again with the man advantage at 8:55. Clayton Keller fed the puck from the left wing and Nick Ritchie released a wrist shot from the high slot for his fourth goal this season.
The Panthers pulled their goalie for an extra attacker with two minutes to go. It did not work as Keller scored a goal into an empty net from the slot area with 1:07 left.
