Cardinal Newman Pounds Gulliver Prep

     The Cardinal Newman Crusaders made the long trip to Miami and walloped the Gulliver Prep Raiders 54-14 on Thursday. Both high schools have never met each other on a football field due to different classifications and travel distance. 

     Cardinal Newman(10-0) finished the 2022 regular season with an undefeated record. The Crusaders are the Class 1M District 5 champions and will open up the FHSAA Class 1M playoffs at home in West Palm Beach. They have outscored their opponents 482-85 this year. 

     Gulliver Prep(5-4) clinched Class 2M District 16 several weeks ago. The Raiders will be at home for their Class 2M first-round postseason contest. They have only outscored their opponents by just five points overall this season.
