West Palm Beach Ratings October 2022

     The West Palm Beach sports talk format ratings for radio stations were issued. The time span went from the second week of September until the second week of October. 

     Fox Sports 640 South Florida WMEN-AM rose for the second straight month as it went from a 0.5 to a 0.6 in the period. Florida Atlantic University Owls football lost three consecutive games in the period and dropped to 2-4. The radio station did not renew the local affiliate rights to the Florida Panthers Radio Network. It looks like WMEN will not beam in game broadcasts from professional teams such as the New York Yankees and concentrate as the flagship radio station of FAU athletics. 

     Sports Radio 1230 The Gambler WBZT-AM remained at a 0.2 again. The radio station has found their audience with VSIN around the clock on weekdays and weekends. The Greek has helped out with the only local program on its airwaves in mid-afternoons. The Miami Marlins finished off their 2022 campaign with a losing record while the University of Florida Gators football team began their regular season with a 4-2 record.  

     ESPN West Palm 106.3 WUUB-FM saw some changes during the period. Jeremy Marks-Peltz finished his stint as weekday evening host on September 22 and Cyrus Wittig took over on October 6. The Miami Dolphins lost a couple of contests while the University of Miami Hurricanes football team lost three straight games. Preseason games of the Miami Heat aired.
