Glenn Geffner Gone From Marlins

Glenn Geffner will no longer be in the Miami Marlins radio broadcast booth. His contract will not be renewed for the 2023 Major League Baseball season.
He has been a radio play-by-play announcer for the club for the last 15 seasons. He became the primary radio voice of the team in 2022 after longtime radio play-by-play announcer Dave Van Horne decided not to continue on Marlins radio broadcasts following the 2021 season.
Geffner, a Miami Palmetto High School grad, was the public relations director and fill-in play-by-play announcer while with the San Diego Padres from 1997 until 2002. He joined the Boston Red Sox and was their secondary radio play-by-play announcer alongside Joe Castiglione from 2003 to 2007.
He became a part of Florida Marlins radio broadcasts as a play-by-play announcer along with pregame and postgame hosting duties in 2008. He kept the same role when the team changed venues and their name to the Miami Marlins in 2012.
