Cardinal Gibbons At American Heritage Preview

     The Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs challenge the American Heritage Patriots at Heritage Field in Plantation on Friday night in a FHSAA Class 2M regional final clash. American Heritage has won 15 of their 17 meetings against Cardinal Gibbons, with the exception of two games during 2018. 

     Both Broward County high schools have been longtime district rivals during the 2010s and were placed in the same district in 2022. The Patriots won the regular season meeting 21-2 over the Chiefs at Dr. Bud Tight Field in Fort Lauderdale back on October 1. 

     American Heritage(11-1) have won seven consecutive games and outscored their opponents 503-147 this year. The Patriots will depend on running back Mark Fletcher, quarterback Blake Murphy and wide receiver Brandon Inniss for their offense. 

     Cardinal Gibbons(11-1), who have won six straight contests, have outscored their opponents 427-149 this season. The Chiefs look toward quarterback Dylan Rizk and running back Kamari Moulton to drive their offense down the field.
