Blanche Ely Edges Dillard In Soul Bowl

     The Blanche Ely Tigers got by the Dillard Panthers 9-7 in the 2022 Soul Bowl at Otis Gray Jr. Memorial Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday night. The Panthers had won five consecutive Soul Bowls against the Tigers until tonight. It was the final regular season high school football game played in Broward County and South Florida.

     Blanche Ely(9-0) finished the 2022 regular season with a perfect record. They have outscored their opponents 273-77 during the year. The Tigers, who are the Class 3M District 10 champs, will host a postseason contest next week in Pompano Beach. 

     Dillard(6-4) had a three-game winning streak snapped and outscored their opponents 232-148 this season. The Panthers have a good chance of making the FHSAA Playoffs.
