The Miami Heat fell to the Indiana Pacers 101-99 on Friday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. It was a rare one-game road trip for the Heat.
Miami(4-6) had a slight 29-28 advantage after one quarter. Indiana(4-5) took charge in the second quarter and led 62-50 at halftime. The Heat cut into the deficit and trailed 80-77 at the end of the third quarter. The Pacers had a 92-84 lead with 7:58 left in the fourth.
Tyler Herro dropped in a game-high 29 points for Miami. Bam Adebayo added a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Max Strus scored 17 points while Gabe Vincent had 15 points.
Buddy Hield led Indiana with a team-high 25 points along with nine rebounds. Tyrese Haliburton fell short of a triple-double with 22 points, nine assists and nine rebounds.
