Palm Beach Gardens Pulls Away From Wellington

     The Palm Beach Gardens Gators knocked off the Wellington Wolverines 30-13 in a FHSAA Class 4M regional quarterfinal game at Mullinax Ford Stadium on Monday night. The Gators will travel to the Monarch Knights in the second round. 

     Both Palm Beach County high schools were not allowed to practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to the anticipated impact of Hurricane Nicole. The contest was moved from Friday night to a couple of days later. 

     Palm Beach Gardens(8-3) and Wellington(6-5) were tied at 7-7 after the first quarter. The Gators piled on 23 points during the second quarter and had a 30-7 lead at halftime. The Wolverines got a touchdown with three minutes left in the fourth quarter and trailed 30-13.
