O'Connor joined the Marlins organization after the change of ownership in 2017 as senior vice president and chief of staff. She was promoted to chief operating officer in 2019.

Carloine O' Connor Marlins President Of Business Operations
The Miami Marlins have elevated Caroline O'Connor to president of business operations. The Marlins because the first professional team of all four major North American sports to have women in charge of business operations and as general manager. Kim Ng was named the Marlins general manager back in November 2020.
