2025 FHSAA Playoffs Local County Breakdown

     The 2025 FHSAA high school football postseason will begin next week. There will be 58 high school teams from the South Florida tri-county region.
     There are eight different classifications this year. Seven of the eight FHSAA state championships will be played on South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium on the Florida International University campus in December.
      Dade County will have 26 high schools involved. They include Miami Northwestern, Southridge, Miami Central, Miami Norland, Carol City, Miami Killian, Columbus, Miami Palmetto, Hialeah, Miami Edison, Archbishop McCarthy, Mater Academy, Doral Academy, Monsignor Pace, Gulliver Prep, Goldman, Ransom Everglades, Palmer Trinity, Immaculata-La Salle, True North Academy, South Dade, North Miami, St. Brendan, Archbishop Carroll, Somerset Academy Silver Palms and Westminster Academy. Key West is the lone school from the Florida Keys. 
      Broward County will consist of 18 teams. They are St. Thomas Aquinas, Cardinal Gibbons, Western, Chaminade-Madonna, American Heritage, Monarch, Dillard, Plantation, South Plantation, Piper, Nova, Flanagan, Coconut Creek, Coral Glades, North Broward Prep, Calvary Christian Academy, McArthur and West Broward.
      Palm Beach County ends up with 14 representatives. They will have Palm Beach Central, Atlantic, Jupiter, West Boca Raton, Glades Central, Pahokee, Cardinal Newman, Benjamin, The King's Academy, Santaluces, Spanish River, St. Andrew's, Somerset Academy Canyons and St. John Paul II. 
     St. Lucie County has two high schools with Fort Pierce Central and John Carroll Catholic. Martin County has two squads with Jensen Beach and Martin County while Indian River County has just one school with Vero Beach.
