The Florida Panthers powered by the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 at T-Mobile Arena on Monday night. It was a rematch of the 2023 Stanley Cup Final between both clubs.
The Panthers completed a four-game road trip. Sergei Bobrovsky tied Jacques Plante for ninth all-time in goalie wins with 437.
In the first period, Florida(8-7-1) skated out to a 1-0 advantage with 5:13 remaining. Jeff Petry snapped a shot wide from the right point. Donovan Sebrango made a square pass from the left point and Jesper Boqvist one-timed a slap shot from the top of the zone for his fourth goal this season. It was the first NHL point for Sebrango.
The Panthers increased it to 2-0 with 9:06 to go in the second. Sebrango touched the puck and Gustav Forsling cleared the zone with a lead bank pass. Brad Marchand skated through the left circle and backhanded a shot from the low slot for his 11th goal of the season.
Vegas(7-4-4) closed it to 2-1 at the 1:25 mark of the third period. Tomas Hertl collected his sixth goal in 2025-26 when he placed in a forehand shot from the top of the crease past Bobrovsky.
It became 3-1 for the Cats on the power play at 4:54. Marchand angled a pass from the right wing. Seth Jones blasted a shot from the right point that was deflected in by Sam Reinhart in the slot area for his eighth goal of the campaign.
The Golden Knights cut it to 3-2 at 9:04. Ivan Barbashev snapped a shot from the low right circle for his seventh tally of the year.
