Hurricanes Freeze Syracuse

     The University of Miami Hurricanes stepped over the Syracuse Orange 38-10 on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium. The Hurricanes have won two of their last four games. 
     Miami(7-2, 3-2) scored 14 points in 23 seconds late the second quarter. The Canes used a trick play with 2:13 to go when Malachi Toney threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Carson Beck. It became 14-0 when Keionte Scott intercepted a pass and returned it 38 yards for a touchdown with 1:50 remaining     
      Syracuse(3-6, 1-5) was able to break the shutout on their first possession of the second half to make it 14-3. Tripp Woody booted a 38-yard field goal at the 11:17 mark of the third quarter. 
      The Hurricanes answered back and increased it to 21-3 at 9:57. Beck fired a 61-yard touchdown strike to Keelan Marion in the middle of the field.
      Miami made it 28-3 when Girard Pringle Jr. Rushed in for a score from 19 yards out with 2:25 remaining. Carter Davis would later add a 36-yard field goal with four seconds to go in the third for a 28-point margin.
      The U extended their lead to 38-3 with 2:53 left in the fourth quarter. Beck sent a cross-field lateral pass to the right side and Francis Mauigoa rumbled into the end zone from three yards away.
      The Orange cut the lead to 38-10 with 21 seconds to go. Jospeh Filardi tossed a 17-yard touchdown toss to Elijah Washington-Baker.
