South Florida High Schools In Second Round

      There were 58 tri-county South Florida high schools that entered the 2025 FHSAA Playoffs. 30 of those teams were able to advance to the second round of the postseason. 
      Dade County went from 25 teams to 12. Columbus, Miami Northwestern, Miami Central, Miami Palmetto, Southridge, Goleman, Miami Norland, Miami Killian, Miami Edison, Ransom Everglades, Immaculata-La Salle and True North Academy won. South Dade, Doral Academy, Mater Academy, Gulliver Prep, North Miami, Carol City, Hialeah, Monsignor Pace, St. Brendan, Somerset Academy Silver Palms, Westminster Christian, Palmer Trinity and Archbishop Carroll lost. Key West from the Florida Keys also advanced. 
      Broward County dropped from 19 high schools to 11. Chaminade-Madonna, St. Thomas Aquinas, American Heritage, Cardinal Gibbons, Monarch, Plantation, Piper, West Broward, Coconut Creek, McArthur and Archbishop McCarthy were victorious. Dillard, Western, Coral Glades, Nova, Flanagan, South Plantation, North Broward Prep and Calvary Christian Academy fell. 
      Palm Beach County moved from 14 teams to seven.  Atlantic, West Boca Raton, Glades Central, Pahokee, Cardinal Newman, Spanish River and St. Andrew's advanced. Palm Beach Central, Jupiter, Santaluces, Somerset Academy Canyons, The King's Academy, Benjamin and St. John Paul II were eliminated.
      Martin County changed from two squads to none remaining in the FHSAA Playoffs. Both Martin County and Jensen Beach were defeated. 
      St. Lucie County shifted from two high schools to one. Fort Pierce Central moved to the next round while John Carroll Catholic lost. Vero Beach from Indian River County also won.
