South Florida High Schools In Third Round

     There were 30 tri-county South Florida high schools that played in the second round of the 2025 FHSAA Playoffs. 17 of those teams advanced to the third round of the postseason. 
     Dade County moved from 12 teams to seven. Miami Northwestern, Miami Central, Southridge, Miami Palmetto, Goleman, Immaculata-La Salle and True North Academy won. Columbus, Miami Norland, Miami Killian, Ransom Everglades and Miami Edison fell. Key West from the Florida Keys did not advance. 
      Broward County went from 11 squads to seven. St. Thomas Aquinas, Chaminade-Madonna, American Heritage, Cardinal Gibbons, McArthur, West Broward and Archbishop McCarthy were victorious. Monarch, Piper, Coconut Creek and Plantation were defeated. 
     Palm Beach County dropped from seven high schools to three. West Boca Raton, Cardinal Newman and Pahokee advanced. Atlantic, Glades Central, St. Andrew's and Spanish River lost. 
     St. Lucie County now has no teams involved as Fort Pierce Central was defeated. Vero Beach still survived as the only team from Indian River County.
