The Miami Heat got by the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Miami Heat 140-138 in overtime on Monday night at Kaseya Center. Both of these two teams will face each other in the same venue two days from now.
Cleveland(7-4) broke out to a 16-8 lead and were up 30-25 after one quarter. Miami(7-4) overcame in the quarter and had a 62-53 halftime lead.
Both teams scored 39 points during the third quarter and the Heat led 101-92. The Cavs went on a 19-7 run to begin the fourth quarter, however it was tied 128-128 at the end of regulation.
Miami outscored the Cavaliers 12-10 in overtime. Nikola Jovic sent an inbound ally-oop pass and Andrew Wiggins made a slam dunk with no time remaining in the extra session.
Norman Powell finished with 33 points for the Heat while Wiggins had 23 points. Jaime Jaquez Jr. was able to score 22 points. Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs with a double-double of 28 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists.
