Miami Northwestern Takes Miami Central

     The #1 Miami Northwestern Bulls outpowered the #2 Miami Central Rockets 50-29 in the FHSAA Class 3A regional finals at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami on Saturday night. It continued the longtime Dade County rivalry between both high schools. It was the only high school football postseason game played in Florida tonight. 

     Miami Northwestern(12-0) raced out to a 29-15 lead. Miami Central(10-2) scored near the end of the second quarter and trailed 29-22 at halftime.

      The Bulls got a touchdown early in the third quarter for a 36-22 advantage. In the fourth quarter, the Rockets came back with seven points and were down 36-29. Miami Northwestern responded with two touchdowns later in the final quarter to make it 50-29.
