The Dillard Panthers knocked off the Blanche Ely Tigers 31-16 in the Soul Bowl at Richard L. Williams Stadium in Pompano Beach on Saturday night. It was the first time in over a decade that the Soul Bowl was not played in the neutral site location of Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
Dillard(6-4) captured the Soul Bowl for the first time since 2012. Blanche Ely(2-8) had won the last four contests between both schools prior to this game and now has been victorious in seven of the last nine games.
