The Miami Heat were blown out by the New York Knicks 115-86 on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. The Heat played for the second straight night and the third time in the last four days on the road.
New York(11-10) found it would be a different contest when Kristaps Porzingis ended his night when he sprained his right ankle and had to leave the game just three minutes in. They still went on a 10-3 spurt in the final three minutes of the frame and led 33-21 after one quarter. The Knicks kept up the pace scoring the last nine points of the second quarter and were up 65-44 at halftime. Miami(10-11) was unable to cut into the deficit and trailed 88-64 after three quarters.
Kelly Olynyk had a team-high 18 points and Tyler Johnson added 13 for the Heat. Josh Richardson drained in 13 points while Dion Waiters dropped 10 points. Enes Kanter got a game-high 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Knicks while Courtney Lee scored 17 points.
