The Miami Heat played their first ever game at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit and were defeated by the Pistons 112-103 on Sunday. It was the final stop of a six-game road trip for the Heat as they went 3-3.
Detroit(10-3) had a 31-29 edge after one quarter and Miami(6-7) was ahead 58-55 at halftime. The Pistons moved ahead 83-81 after three quarters and then outscored the Heat 29-22 in the fourth which included a 16-5 run during the quarter.
Hassan Whiteside nailed a double-double with a team-high 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Heat. Goran Dragic added 18 points and Dion Waiters poured in 16 points. Tobias Harris led the Pistons with 25 points along with seven rebounds. Avery Bradley dropped 24 points and Reggie Jackson had 17 points.
