NBC 6 WTVJ-TV in Miami has named Keith Jones as their new lead sports anchor. He replaces Adam Kuperstein who left in August for a weekday news reporter and weekend news anchor position at WNBC-TV in New York City. Jones joined WTVJ-TV in July 2012 from a news anchor role at WTSP-TV in Tampa.
Jones will relinquish his role as the weekend news anchor at NBC 6 and work as a weekday afternoon news co-anchor at that station. He joins the sports staff which includes secondary sports anchor and sports reporter Chris Fischer. The station made a recent change in their sports department when Stefano Fusaro left for ESPN in May and was replaced by Fischer.
