The momentum would change in the Sharks favor during the second quarter. Quarterback George Bubrick found wide receiver Christian Wells in the front of the end zone on a crossing pattern from 11 yards away at the 8:49 mark to tie the contest 7-7.
The Sharks had a 71-yard punt return for a score by running back Kenny McIntosh negated due to a penalty on the run back at 6:55. University School(8-1) would take their first lead of the game 14-7 with 5:30 left in the second when McIntosh sprinted down the right sideline and scored from 19 yards out.
In the third quarter, the Sharks capitalized on the third play of the second half. Bubrick fired a pass up the middle and wide receiver Zay Flowers raced in with a 58-yard touchdown catch at 10:48. They would add a safety at the 9:50 mark when Joshua Sanguinetti blocked a punt and it went out of the Raiders end zone to make it 23-7.
University School would score again following the ensuing kickoff. McIntosh compiled his second touchdown of the contest as he dashed up the middle on a 29-yard run with 7:00 remaining in the third. The Sharks expanded their margin to 37-7 with 1:35 to go in the quarter. Running back Michael Hurt rushed around the left end from five yards away for the score.
